DUNDEE, Mich. – A power outage Friday in Dundee lasted about three hours, causing schools to close.

A DTE Energy spokesman said about 9 a.m. or so a power line failed because of a faulty connection, causing about 2,000 Detroit Edison customers to lose power. The outage ended shortly after noon.

Local schools dismissed students at 10:30 a.m. Police urged drivers to treat intersections where stoplights weren’t working as four-way stops.
